Joel Queen
Traditional Cherokee Pottery

Joel Queen is a 7th generation potter from the Bigmeat family in Cherokee, North Carolina. Joel uses the same traditional methods that were employed hundreds of years ago. He hand builds, hand carves, hand polishes, and hand fires each piece in an open pit. His signature "black work", the Raku line, and the new traditional fired masks {pictured above} are available from Earthworks.
